We want you to explore opportunities for new business to increase sales and market share for all our respective brands.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Develop a keen awareness of your respective client base and their needs in order to assist them in developing their business using our Product and Services

  • Develop an awareness of your client base, their clients and what they need to promote and sell our product, as well as recommend the best type of co-op marketing initiatives, promotions and other tactical ideas to enhance their sales
  • Through research and analysis, identify development opportunities to build the business within your territory
  • Conduct regular territory planning to ensure the most cost effective way of managing your territory
  • Analyze and review the weekly sales reports for your territory
  • Implement the sales goals and strategies as outlined by your Sales Division
  • Maintain a set schedule of the agencies within your territory, meet with them regularly to ensure they are trained and focused on all our Product Brands, and assist them with initiatives that will further develop their business with us
  • Schedule and conduct travel agent training
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence from the field to your direct report immediately and on a weekly basis
  • Develop marketing plans and growth targets for all assigned accounts and territories
  • Attend and participate in product launch presentations, training seminars, conferences, and consumer shows as assigned in order to support the department as well as attain the knowledge and skills to assist you in your daily performance
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all TravelBrands product, services, promotions, procedures, and technologies, as well as a general knowledge of the Travel Industry, and other Tour Operators’ product
  • Meet territory performance targets
  • Encourage the display of our promotional and brochure materials within your agencies to promote sales
  • Attend and lead FAM trip as necessary
  • Attend regular sales meetings to report on past and future development and training activities within the territory
  • Assist on the Facebook exclusive page “Your TravelBrands BDM” on a regular basis

Academic Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary Travel/Tourism school diploma is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of travel industry experience and/or 3 years tour operator experience

 

Working Conditions

  • Constant work on the road (must have a valid driver’s license)
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Requires travel – approximately 20 business days per year for sales calls, FAM trips and/or product launches
