National Sales Manager

Position : National Sales Manager- Jetline Vacations

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Business Development the position holds overall responsibility for the national chain relationships including development and recommendations for contracts, reporting, marketing initiatives and implementation, tactical efforts, and overall strategic account management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, manage and maintain national chain Sales & marketing agreements for jetline vacation products and services, report on market intelligence, competitor activities, launch campaigns, monitor sales , develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales targets and growth trajectory.
  • Develop understanding of national account trends and update Director of Sales regularly.
  • Attend all national conferences and events with national partners, including assignment of additional staff when needed in coordination with Director of Sales.
  • Develop & maintain regular communication with preferred partners and monitor distribution channels and platforms to ensure jetline vacation products are available and displayed.
  • Establish and execute marketing plans with preferred partners which aligns with corporate direction, proactively adjusting strategies according to changes in business environment.
  • Ensure all campaigns are communicated with the jetlines sales & marketing team & other internal departments to confirm proper implementation
  • Monitor and provide reports on campaigns to determine ROI and sales initiatives.
  • Establish adequate filing system and correspond with each account information related to contracts, campaigns, overrides, tacticals, reports, invoicing, conferences or any related event/item.
  • Ensure all emails and phone calls are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Assist in planning special events, FAMS, PowerPoints, webinars, trainings for National Accounts
  • Conduct webinars & trainings, attend FAMS, and co-host events with partners.
  • Assist with verification of overrides and tactical throughout the year
  • Provide solutions on escalated customer service issues and ensure outcome is actioned in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Product Launches and tradeshows after hours, some travel may also be required to further enhance product knowledge.
  • Conduct Preferred Partner Calls and actions new sales initiatives.
  • Analyze market intelligence and communicate in weekly management meetings.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Director of Sales

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree or minimum 3-5 years equivalent of work experience in sales and account or partner management.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills used to recommend and implement effective solutions.
  • Related account development and negotiation skills used to gain customer commitment.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and related industry reports to better understand our customer.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Sales environment
  • Good business and work ethics is a must.
  • Strong presentation and selling skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with our partners (verbal, listening, writing, presenting)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously along with strong administrative abilities.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, excellent work/organization methods, able to work under high pressure and demanding deadlines.
  • Acts in a confidential manner.
  • Marketing experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GDS, packaged distribution platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Traveling will be required on a frequent basis.
  • Knowledge of French is an asset but not necessary.
